MORGAN DENSON

Hi, my name is Morgan Denson. I am an active member of the New
Densonnetts, but I have not always been a Densonnett. I received my start
as a Babynett. In the early to mid-seventies, my father and mother- (Herbert
Lemon and Mary Faye Denson) motivated their offspring to sing gospel
music. Although, they had children that were already singing God's praises,
dad and mom wanted them to be examples (lights) to their younger siblings
and to the world. This is what "inspired" me; but not only me, my sisters,
brothers, nieces, nephews, in-laws and others. The Densonnetts, consisting
of sisters and brothers, from the second born to the tenth born were getting
too big. Soon afterwards in-laws became members; we had a small choir.
Our parents didn't want to leave anyone out that wanted to sing, so they
created two groups ; The Densonnetts (the older siblings) and the Babynetts
(the younger siblings and grandchildren). I was the second oldest in the
Babynetts, only seven. I led most of our songs, singing in front of hundreds
of people, which was very exciting and pleasing. Now, I'm thirty four and
still love to sing God's praises. For I'm not ashamed of the gospel. Just as it
pleased our parents to see us singing, I know it pleases God as well. For he
is the reason why we sing.
